hi george -- you may know this already, but if you upgrade to MoveableType 3.15 you will get the "moderate comments" feature" which will help you to elimiate comment spam by "approving" commenters the first time they post and banning those who spam. email me at lhtorres [at] americaspeaks.org if you have questions ~
